Annie in Autumn

Meet Annie, my roommate! Here are some pictures we took this fall around campus. 

This picture is pretty on it's own, but I think it becomes a little bit magical once you know the story behind it. A fan held over a woman's heart says, "I love you." We didn't have a fan, but we had a beautiful maple leaf. I think it works just as well, if not better.

Swim vs. Calvin College

Calvin college has a beautiful brand new natatorium! I love swimming there. The lighting was so much brighter than most other pools we usually travel to, so lots of my pictures have unexpectedly intense color! It was a great opportunity to take some fun pics.

 Three of my favorite kids in the whole world came to watch me swim! I have babysat these guys for years and I was very excited they wanted to come cheer me on. I love you Bryce, Alayna, and Wade!

Ball State University

Well, here's to the inaugural post at 5683 Photography! This weekend the Grand Valley State University Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Teams traveled to Ball State University to compete in the annual Doug Coers Invitational. There were lots of opportunities so snap pictures... I took over 2,000! Here are some of my favorites. Enjoy!

This picture is significant because one of the Ball State divers hit his face on the 3 meter board during competition on Friday. The lifeguards were extremely well prepared and did an excellent job bodyboarding him and taking care of him until emergency personnel arrived. So here is a tribute to their superior skills. We appreciate you!
